Media, CSOs Moves to Promote Criminal Justice Administration in Jigawa

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the Media have promised to promote Criminal Justice Administration in Jigawa state to enhance the rule of law and social justice.

The group made the declaration during three days of training and launching a team for the campaign which will be supported by CLEEN Foundation.

The of team Media, CSOs were constituted as champion and observatory actors in promoting the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) in Jigawa state.

Speaking at the launching of the term, the Communications and Media Officer of CLEEN Foundation, Anna White Agbo said the team is expected to work with state actors and other stakeholders to achieve its targeted goals.

She noted that there are many challenges hampering the full and effective implementation of ACJL in Jigawa state and Nigeria.

Mr Ana added that without justice society cannot enjoy peace and progress, therefore, working around promoting ACJL and social justice is a collective responsibility of every good citizen.

The Communication Officer then charged the team to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and groups or individuals who indicated an interest in joining the campaign.

However during the training, some major stakeholders were identified as well as the process to fully engage them to achieve the desired goals, they included the Chief Judge, Commissioner of Police, Correctional Services, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NSCDC, Traditional, and Religious leaders.
