Maulud: Jigawa Declares Tuesday Public Holiday

In addition to the declaration of Monday 16th September as a public holiday by the Federal Government, the Jigawa State Government has also declared Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 a holiday day to mark the celebration of the Eidel-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

This was contained in a statement by the State Head of the Civil Service, Muhammad K. Dagaceri, and made available to newsmen men through his public relations officer, Comrade Samaila Ibrahim Dutse.

“I write to inform you that the Government has declared 14th R/Awwal, 1446AH (17th September 2024) as a workfree day to celebrate the Birthday (Maulud Nabiy) of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

“Jigawa state government is congratulating  all Muslim faithful in Jigawa State and the Country at large for this year’s occasion, and we do hope it will be used for sober reflection and strengthen adherence to the teaching and virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) embodied upon service to Allah and Humanity.”

Dagaceri, enjoyed workers in the State to utilize the period for prayer to Allah (S.W. A) For His protection and guidance to their leaders for peace and progress in the State and Nigeria.
