LG Election: Gov Ganduje Casts Vote, Appreciates Voter Turnout, Peaceful Conduct

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state cast his vote few minutes to12 noon in the ongoing local government election, at Ganduje Cikingari Ward of Ganduje town, in Dawakin Tofa local government, Box 008, Saturday.

The Chief Press Secretary in a signed statement, Saturday, said immediately after the Governor casts his vote, he expressed his appreciation over the way voters conduct themselves at polling stations, appreciating that, “You can see how people came out, they are voting and the voting is peaceful.

“This shows the local government election is accepted by the people in the state. This gives us confidence, especially that we don’t believe in appointing Caretaker Committees to manage the affairs of our local governments. We want elected officials to manage the affairs,” he said.

Explaining further that, “That is why we decided to hold this election. You can see that people are willing and are voting without any intimidation or harassment. They are voting the people they like.”
