Leicester Boss Confirms Ndidi Fit to Face Manchester United

News Desk

Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed Wilfred Ndidi will be in the squad for Friday’s Emirates FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United.

Ndidi has been absent since sustaining an injury in the Foxes Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion last December.

The Nigeria international has trained in Seagrave over the past fortnight and is close to making his return to the starting XI.

“Wilf is fine,” van Nistelrooy told reporters on Thursday.

“He had a great week of training, last week and this week. He’ll be part of the squad tomorrow.

“There’s a couple [of players] with some light injuries. They will be assessed today if they can travel or not. There’s two or three with light injuries who are doubtful tomorrow. We’ll see when we announce the squad.”
