With the two sides on the verge of full-scale conflict, Israel and Hezbollah exchanged gunfire once more on Tuesday, including a fresh Israeli attack on Beirut. The enormous Israeli bombardment claimed over 560 lives, while thousands of residents left southern Lebanon.
Three drones were seen entering Israel from Lebanon a short while ago, according to the Israeli military, and they set off sirens in coastal villages south of Haifa, which is more than 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the border with Lebanon. Two drones were reportedly intercepted. There were no injuries reported.
The Israeli military reports that more than 300 rockets have been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel today.
Strikes in Lebanon will go on, the army declared. In the last two hours, Israeli jets carried out a “number of extensive strikes” on targets in the Bekaa region and in southern Lebanon, according to the army, hitting rocket launchers and infrastructure that the army says was used to store weapons.
