Lagos Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has been impeached amid allegations of corruption and financial mismanagement.
Obasa was removed from office on Monday by 32 members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, according to online reports.
It was gathered that the speaker was impeached for gross misconduct and abuse of office and the development following accusations of spending N17 billion on a gate to the assembly complex.
