Khalifa Isyaku Rabi’u University Gets Maiden Governing Council

The Chairman Board of Trustees of Khalifa Isyaku Rabi’u University (Khairun) Kano Professor Muhammad Sani Zaharadeen has expressed that the leadership of the newly inaugurated university governing board would take the university to great heights.

The Chairman who doubled as Chief Imam of Kano stated this while inaugurating the fourteen members governing council of the university led by Professor Kabiru Isyaku OON and registrar of the university Dr. Yusuf Datti as secretary.

Other members of the council include Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Abdulrashed Garba as vice chairman, Matawalle Kano Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Ahmed, Vice Admiral Auwal Zubairu Gambo (Rtd), Professor Musa Barodo, Professor Abdullah Uba Adamu as member.

The rest are Professor Rabi Muhammad Ashiru, Malam Garba Imam, Alhaji Nura Isyaku Rabi’u Alhaji Kabiru Isyaku Rabi’u, Alhaji Hafiz Isyaku Rabi’u, representatives of the National University Commission and Kano State ministry of higher education as members.

The Chairman then congratulated members of the council and charged them to use their vast experience towards achieving the set objectives.

Earlier speaking on behalf of the khalifa Isyaku Rabi’u family, Alhaji Rabi’u Isyaku Rabi’u traced the history of the university which he said has received a provisional licensure from the National University Commission and will soon commence academic activities.

Alhaji Rabi’u Isyaku Rabi’u said it’s the duty of the governing council to control the affairs of the university and wish them a successful tenure.

Responding to the new chairman of the governing council and vice chancellor of the university Professor Kabiru Isyaku OON and Professor Abdulrashed Garba pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them.
