Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) has approved the immediate dissolution of the Kebbi State executive council, all board of agencies and parastatals, and all political appointees of the immediate past administration.
Similarly, the Governor has approved the appointment of the followings: Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafidan Yauri as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Barrister Attahiru Maccido as Chief of Staff Government House.
Other political appointees are the Personal Assistant to the governor, Aminu Musa Danko, Aliyu Bandado Argungu, Senior Special Assistant, New Media, and Alhaji Yahaya Sarki as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The rest are Abuzaidu Abubakar Yari, Senior Special Assistant, New Media, Umar Shehu Baiti, Senior Special Assistant, Protocol, and Ahmed Idris of Guardian newspaper, and currently, Secretary of NUJ Kebbi State Council as the new Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
This was contained in a statement issued to Journalists on Wednesday at Government House in Birnin Kebbi by the new Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris.
The statement further indicated that all the appointments took effect from 29th May 2023.
