Kebbi: 8 PDP Chieftains Defect to APC in Bagudo

No fewer than 8 people’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftains with their supporter in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State has defected to the All-Progressive Congress (APC).

Receiving the decampees on Saturday at Tsamiya shortly after the Commissioning of the campaign office of the House of Representatives member representing Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency, Hon. Bello Ka’oje Dallatun Bargu.

Speaking, the Hon. Ka’oje who applauded the decampees for joining the APC urged them that all of them will be treated equally.

He said further stated that APC he still the party that has the interest of the masses at heart, appealing to them to vote for APC from the top to bottom.

Ka’oje who is also the House Committee Chairman on Constituency Outreach at the lower chamber was in Tsamiya town, Bagudo local government, to commission a mega party office named DALLATUN BARGU GRASS ROOT PARTY OFFICE.

The event was organized by Tsamiya youths with the aim to streamline the campaign movement ahead of the 2023 general election and ensure that the party delivers in the area and state at large.

Also Speaking, the member, State House of Assembly representing Bagudo Local Government Hon. Ismael Banbo commended the efforts of Hon. Ka’oje for providing a dividend of democracy to the people of his own constituency.

“Today you have given the people a sense of belonging, the gesture came at the right time when people were in need of it,” he said.

During the occasion, the items donated to the new party office are 1 Keke Napep,1. Motorcycle, 2 Sewing machines, 2 Deep freezers, 2 Grinding machines, 2 Pumping machines, and 200,000.

Speaking to Newsmen, one of the decampees Muhammad Mai Banki Illo said that their decision to join APC is to bring sanity to Kebbi politics as they discovered a lot of irregularities in PDP, adding that some members of PDP are not good leaders.  

Other decamped members are Hajiya Jamila Illo, Habibu Abduallahi tui, Khalid Ibrahim, Abdualhakim Aliyu, Sani shabalo, Muhammad Gali, Sule Dogo.

Some projects that were visited after the event visited the ongoing construction of the Primary Healthcare Center at Tsamiya by the Hon. Ka’oje.
