The Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) on Tuesday announced the deployment of 1,000 personnel across strategic locations in preparation for the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr (Sallah) celebrations.
Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, the Agency’s spokesperson, in a statement, said the deployment was proactive to ensure the free flow of traffic and maintain order during the festive period.
The personnel will be stationed at key areas, including Eid prayer grounds, major roads, and recreational centers where large gatherings are expected.
The Managing Director of KAROTA, Faisal Mahmud Kabir, stated that the agency remains committed to safeguarding road users and minimizing congestion during the celebrations.
He further urged motorists to cooperate with traffic officials and adhere strictly to traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and incident-free Sallah.
