Kano Pillars football club would leave Kano on Wednesday to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja for a week-closed camp.

According to the statement from the Acting Chairman of the club, Dr. Ibrahim Galadima the camp is part of the club preparations ahead of the forthcoming 2023 Nigeria National League expected to be kicked off next month.

Dr. Galadima said during the camp, the team is expected to play three to four friendly matches with the under-17 and Under-20 Golden Eaglets and the Flying Eagles in order to keep the team in shape.

He then charged the technical crew and players to be focused on the task ahead.

The Acting Chairman said the major concern of the club is to return back to the elite league at the end of the season.

“Apart from the Nigeria National League, we are expecting the team to do well in this year’s Federation Cup,” Galadima said.

The team would travel with thirty-five players and a technical crew led by technical Adviser, Evans Ogenyi.
