The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed 8 February 2026 as the final deadline for the data capturing of intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The Board’s spokesperson, Sulaiman A. Dederi, said in a statement on Wednesday that the announcement was made by the Director General of the Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, through a member of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, during a joint meeting of Board staff and Local Government Hajj Centre officers held at the Board’s headquarters.

According to the Director General, the deadline follows a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which requires all states to complete the data capturing process for intending pilgrims on or before 8 February 2026.

Danbappa urged intending pilgrims who have yet to submit their international passports to do so before the deadline, stressing that no extension would be granted.

He also directed Local Government Hajj Centre officers to intensify sensitization efforts to ensure full compliance across the state.

The Board reassured the public of its commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and successful Hajj operation for the 2026 pilgrimage.
