Kano MoPB Organizes Capacity Building Workshop for Directors, Senior Officers

The state Ministry of planning and Budget (MoPB) has organized a capacity-building workshop for Directors and Senior officers in the department of planning, research and statistic, Accountant and Auditors in one hundred and thirty-one (131) Ministries Departments, and Agencies. (MDAs)

The training is designed to build their capacity on how to use the 52 digits, Budget classification, Chart of accountants, and updated Budget Template.

The Commissioner Ministry of planning and Budget, Alh Ibrahim Dan-Azumi Gwarzo stated this in his opening remarks of the two-day program held on Monday at  Tahir Guest place

He expressed appreciation to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for supporting the activities of the ministry in its quest to take the state to the next level of economic development.

Gwarzo said that the capacity building will expose the participants to the practical application of 52 digits budget classification and chart of accounts in line with the international best practices.

He acknowledged the contribution of development partners, such as the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and the Partnership to Engage Reform and Learn (PERL) Program.

In her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso charged the participants to utilize the knowledge acquired from the workshop to produce a functional strategic plan.

She thanked the Directors of MoPB for their commitment to work.
