The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has extended warm felicitations to former Governor of Kano State and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing him as a “true statesman and visionary leader whose legacy continues to shape Nigeria’s political history.”
In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Comrade Waiya said he joined millions of admirers within and outside Nigeria to celebrate Kwankwaso, whom he referred to as “the most admired political hero in Northern Nigeria and beyond.”
He commended Kwankwaso’s contributions to national development, noting that his achievements span infrastructure, education, economic empowerment, and human capital development.
“Your legacy stands tall in Nigeria’s political landscape, from transforming Kano through landmark projects to empowering thousands of youths from underprivileged backgrounds through scholarships and mentorship,” he said.
Waiya praised Kwankwaso’s record as a two-term governor of Kano State, former Minister of Defence, and presidential candidate, adding that his leadership style has inspired millions and institutionalized a political ideology centred on selfless service and compassion for the common man.
“As a proud appointee serving in the government you fathered and nurtured, I remain deeply grateful for your mentorship and your unwavering belief in the potential of young people,” the statement added.
He prayed for Allah to grant Kwankwaso a long life, good health, wisdom, and the strength to continue serving humanity and the nation.
