Gwarzo Local Government in Kano State has commenced the distribution of free essential drugs to its 22 health facilities, further solidifying its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the community.
During the flag-off ceremony, Dr. Mani Tsoho, Interim Management Committee Chairman, emphasized the administration’s priority on ensuring access to quality healthcare for all citizens.
He urged the health facility in charge to maintain transparency and accountability in the distribution of the drugs, ensuring they reach the intended beneficiaries.
The medical supplies, valued at N10 million, were provided by Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration as part of its promise to support local governments in purchasing essential drugs.
Dr. Tsoho said the drugs will cater to patients with malaria, typhoid fever, diabetes, and maternal and antenatal care medications.
The Primary Healthcare Coordinator, Abdullahi Datti Rogo, underscored the significance of healthcare in enhancing community well-being and development.
