Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf extends deepest congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah in the state and across the nation on the blessed occasion of Eid-Maulud, marking the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
Governor Yusuf noted that Eid-Maulud is a special occasion for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life, teachings, and virtues of the Prophet, who embodied peace, compassion, humility, and love for humanity.
“As genuine and good Muslims, we must emulate and strive to uphold the exemplary virtues of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in our daily interactions with one another as a sure path to getting Allah’s blessings in our worldly endeavor and a gateway to salvation in the hereafter”.
The Governor therefore urged Muslims to use this blessed occasion for prayers, seeking divine intervention for peace, stability, and prosperity in the face of the current persistent security and economic challenges in the state and the entire country.
He also called on the people, particularly the well-to-do, to help their neighbors and the needy as the economic hardship bites harder and deeper while also urging business people to exercise compassion and fear of Allah in fixing the prices of their commodities for the common good of the people and in the spirit of brotherhood as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf then reiterated the commitment of his administration to continued implementation of programs and policies geared towards the improvement of the well-being of the people and general development of the state and pray to Allah (S.W.T) to grant all the people the wisdom and strength to build a peaceful, prosperous, and united Kano State.
