The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced an approved fare of N7,672,822 for intending pilgrims from the state for the 2027 Hajj.
The fare was announced following a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and consultations on the cost of the pilgrimage.
The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, confirmed that the approved fare applies to all intending pilgrims from Kano State.
Matawalle also said passport uploading would continue until the stipulated deadline, urging intending pilgrims to submit their passports even before completing their balance payments to facilitate timely uploading and processing of their details.
He explained that pilgrims who have already paid N7 million are required to pay a balance of N672,822 to meet the approved fare.
According to him, intending pilgrims making fresh payments are required to pay the full amount of N7,672,822.
The Director-General said the deadline for payment is 31 August 2026, in line with NAHCON’s directive.
He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to secure their Hajj seats.
