Kano Assembly Urges Governor Yusuf to Construct Chakwaya to Rano Road

Kano State House of Assembly in its plenary session sitting on Tuesday has urged the State Government to construct a road from Chakwaya to Rano and from GSS Barkum to Shingi in Rano LG, following a motion moved by Hon. Ibrahim Muhd, a member representing Rano Constituency.

Hon. Ibrahim Muhd said the roads when constructed would uplift the lives of the affected communities.

The House agreed on the motion and called on the State government to come to the aid of the people in that area.

Similarly, the House had received a report from the House Committee on Works and Housing with respect to the intersection of the U-turn to Kurna on the Alhaji Tijjani Hashim underpass.

Presenting the report in the chamber of the House, the Chairman of the Committee and member representing Nassarawa Constituency, Hon. Yusuf Bello Aliyu, explained the state of the underpass and prospered a recommendation where the House agreed on the report and recommendation of the Committee and at the same time thanked the State government for its timely interventions on issues and all matters related to the development of the State

The House then adopted and agreed with the report together with all the recommendation

Also, the House received a report from the Public Account Committee on the Audited Accounts of the State on the financial year ended 31st December 2018 third allotted day by the Committee Chairman Hon. Tukur Muhd, member Fagge Constituency.

The House commended the hectic assignments of the Committee considering the complex nature of the assignments and saluted them for their consistency in discharging their responsibilities

 The House agreed and adopted the report

The House adjourned sitting to Monday, 25 September 2023 in a motion moved by the Majority Leader Hon. Lawan Husaini Dala, Dala Constituency and was seconded by Hon.Kabiru Dahiru Sule, Tarauni Constituency
