Kaduna LG Polls : LP Chairman, PDP Councillorship Candidate Defect to APC

News Desk

With barely three days left before the Local Government elections in Kaduna state, the state Labour Party chairman, Hon. Isah Chiroma, and the PDP Kafachan Ward B Ja’mma LGA councillorship candidate Abdullahi Imrah have defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

The former Labour Party State Chairman, speaking during the flag-off campaign and presentations of flags to councillorship candidates, mentioned that the inclusive system of governance of Senator Uba Sani and the infrastructural development in southern Kaduna motivated him to join in moving the state forward.

Hon. Abdullahi said that though it is a few days to the elections, he decided to pull out of PDP and join Hon. Peter Tanko in the APC so they can work together and move the country forward.

Welcoming the defectors, the deputy governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, congratulated them for making a wise choice by joining the winning team. She assured them that they would be carried along.

Speaking on the forthcoming election, she said from the turnout of the supporters, it is obvious that the APC is on track to victory.

She, however, advises APC members to conduct their selves in the election, saying that, as a party sure of victory, they have nothing to fight for.

Speaking to the media the APC Chairmanship candidate for Ja’mma Local Government Council Hon.Peter Tanko Dogara assured the people of Jemaa that they are going to experience the dividends of democracy through good governance, transparency

“I have a lot of things for the community The issues of security, health, investment, and empowerment are paramount to the community, and these are things that we are looking for

“I admire Senator Uba Sani because of his closeness to the grassroots; before now, southern Kaduna has been marginalized in the issues of infrastructure like the rural reification, but for the government coming on board, most people are decamping for other parties to the APC.

“Because it is now clear what the government can do, he is doing well and carrying the people along”.
