Jigawa Set to Inaugurate HCD Steering Committee

The Jigawa state government said, it concluded all arrangements for the inauguration of Human Capital Development (HCD) program in January 2021.

This was announced by the Jigawa state HCD focal person and Special Adviser to state governor, Muhammad Abba Mujaddadi during a round table discussion with Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Media held on Thursday at his office in Dutse the state capital.

He explained that, the inauguration of the committee will help the state government on proper implementation of various HCD program particularly on areas of education, health, and other social protection.

According to him, the aims of the programmes is to improve the lives of Jigawa citizens socially, economically as well uplifting the brighter future of the state.

Mujaddadi maintained that, governor Badaru will be a Chairman of the Steering Committee while other members will be Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Commissioners and from relevant ministries and other relevant stakeholders.

He then commended the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) Lafiya  Program for forming the Coalition and promised to give all the necessary support and cooperation to ensure the successful implementations of HCP in the state.

While speaking earlier, comrade Mustapha Babura who led the delegation of the Coalition said, the delegation is in his office to congratulate him for his appointment as State Focal Person on HCD and know the status of HCD as well as to identify the relevant stakeholders to engage for orientation.
