An Iranian state media outlet posted a video to social media showing a hand stroking a nuclear bomb alongside the word “maybe” as Israel continues with strikes and U.S. President Donald Trump puts Tehran’s leadership on notice.
The video was posted to X by the Iran Arabic News Agency.
Israel has been attacking Iranian military and nuclear sites for days. It has also decimated Iran’s military and intelligence leadership and killed a number of its top nuclear scientists.
Israel says it has acted to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb. Iran has struck back with drone and missile strikes on Israel, but it denies seeking to build a nuclear weapon and says its nuclear research is for civilian energy purposes.
Trump has urged Iran to make a deal on the nuclear issue and said he will not allow it to develop a weapon. As Israel strikes Iran, Trump has strengthened the U.S. military posture in the Middle East, giving him the option to join them.
“UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” Trump posted to his Truth Social on Tuesday, June 17, in a message to the Iranian leadership.
