The International Peace and Secure Society (IPSS) on Tuesday formally endorsed General Christopher Musa (rtd) as the most competent and strategically positioned candidate to succeed Badaru Abubakar as Nigeria’s Minister of Defence.

This endorsement follows a comprehensive review of General Musa’s outstanding national service, particularly his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), during which he led transformative reforms in counter insurgency operations, joint military coordination, and defence modernization.

A Leader of Proven Courage and Strategic Depth

General Musa served as Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff from June 2023 to October 2025.

His leadership is widely recognized in Nigeria
