Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), organisers of the prestigious National Spokespersons Awards (NSAwards), has announced the jury members and 15 competitive categories for the 6th edition of the annual event.
The multi-award winning IMPR is the publishers of PRNigeria, Economic Confidential and Spokespersons Digest.
Widely recognised as Nigeria’s foremost platform for recognising excellence in strategic communication and spokespersonship, the NSAwards continues to set the benchmark for professionalism, integrity, and innovation within the communication industry.
The awards, which partnered with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for its 4th and 5th editions, have also earned endorsements from leading professional bodies, including the the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC), African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
Speaking on the 2026 edition, IMPR Chairman and an associate professor of Strategic Communication, Dr. Sule Yau Sule, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to spotlighting outstanding achievements across corporate, public sector, and digital communication spheres.
“The NSAwards has become a symbol of excellence for communication professionals who demonstrate mastery, credibility, and measurable impact in their roles.
“This year, we look forward to honouring even more exceptional spokespersons, communication leaders, and their organisations,” he said.
He added that the awards are open to corporate spokespersons, government information officers, public relations and communication agencies, media and public affairs professionals, as well as scholars, authors, and researchers.
Dr. Sule disclosed that the 2026 edition will feature 15 categories, divided into 10 Professional Excellence Awards and 5 Individual Distinction Awards.
The Professional Excellence categories include Knowledge Hub, Corporate Communications, Employee Relations, Public Affairs, Community Relations/CSR, Media Relations, Publication, Crisis Management, Digital Communication, and Communication Agency of the Year.
The Individual Distinction categories are Social Media Influencer of the Year, Young Communicator of the Year, Crisis Communicator of the Year, Author/Scholar of the Year, and Spokesperson of the Year.
In addition, IMPR unveiled a seven-member jury panel to oversee the adjudication process.
The panel is chaired by Prof. Saudat AbdulBaqi, with Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulraheem serving as Secretary. Other members include Dr. Kabir Lawanti, Dr. Prencewell Achor, Mr. Ishola Ayodele, Mr. Sunday Odita, and Ms. Rahma Oladosu.
Mr. Segun McMedal and Kabir Abdulsalam will continue to serve as Chairman and Secretary of the Awards Committee, respectively.
According to the organisers, applicants are required to submit evidence-based entries demonstrating measurable results, innovation, and adherence to global communication standards through the official awards website.
Established to recognise the critical role spokespersons play in shaping narratives, building trust, and fostering transparent communication between institutions and the public, the National Spokespersons Awards has evolved into a reference point for excellence within Nigeria’s communication ecosystem.
The 6th edition is expected to attract top-tier professionals, agencies, and institutions committed to advancing the practice of strategic communication nationwide.
