Hub Urges Entrepreneurs to Explore Nigeria’s Business Potentials

On Saturday, the Chairman of 21st Century Entrepreneurs Hub, a non-governmental organization (NGO) Alhaji Umar Udris urged young entrepreneurs to explore more business potential in Nigerian communities.

Idris gave the advice in an interview with Journalists during a two-day entrepreneurs Expo organized by 21st Century Entrepreneurs’ Hub in partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Network Nigeria (GEN) in Sokoto.

The 21st Century Entrepreneurs Hub in Collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network Nigeria organizes Global Entrepreneurship Market Place in Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, and Zamfara.

He said the two-day expo was organized concurrently in Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi and Niger states aimed at stimulating business growth among young entrepreneurs.

“We engage in coaching entrepreneurs, guide them, and link them with possible potential markets and how best to go about their business activities.

“The expo was to mark the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), meant to celebrate innovators and job creators who launched the startups.

“GEN inspires people everywhere through local, national, and global activities designed to help them take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.

He also said the participants would be assisted in processing, branding, and promoting their products and services.

“In Sokoto, no fewer than 200 entrepreneurs participated in the fair, and more importantly all of them percent are women, which tally with our goal of empowering more women into active business engagements.

“21st Century Entrepreneurs Hub assists them with a platform to showcase their products and services, as most of them run the businesses from their homes,” the chairman said.

Similarly, the event witnessed another collaborative effort with Haido Investment in which the investor pledged to inject a seed fund of 10 million Naira to ten selected potential entrepreneurs with One million naira each to add to their capital.

“I am optimistic, that the funds will increase the lots, improve their production capacity, and enhance their customer network within and outside their Communities.

The Chairman expressed appreciation for increased government support, especially in mobilizing grassroots people and enjoining citizens to maximally tap the opportunity.
