Harry Kane, who now leads the English team in Bundesliga scoring, has smashed yet another record at Bayern Munich.
In the second half of Bayern’s convincing victory over Werder Bremen, Kane scored to break yet another German record. At the time, Kane’s goal moved him above Jadon Sancho as the highest-scoring Englishman in the Bundesliga as Bayern led 2-0. Michael Olise scored a brace, and Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala also scored as Bayern went on to win 5-0.
In 118 games throughout two stints at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho scored 40 goals in the Bundesliga. In contrast, Kane has now scored 41 goals in just 36 appearances. He’s probably going to break a record that’s nearly hard to beat if his scoring rate continues as such.
With just five games played this season, Kane has already scored nine goals across all competitions for Bayern. He has been outstanding. He has three assists as well. He entered this weekend’s match fresh off a four-goal performance in a 9-2 thumping of Dinamo Zagreb.
Next weekend, Bayern will play the winners of the previous campaign, Bayer Leverkusen, before taking on Aston Villa in the Champions League. Kane intends to continue his incredible scoring streak.
