Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has outlined his administration’s priorities for 2026, placing a strong emphasis on transparency, accountability, and people-centered development.
He stated this while presiding over the maiden Executive Council meeting of the year, which also marked the 37th meeting of the council since the administration’s inception.
The meeting was held at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
According to a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf said the meeting reflected a renewed determination to strengthen good governance, prioritize citizens’ welfare, and fast-track sustainable development across the state.
He commended members of the Executive Council for their dedication and commitment to implementing government policies and programs designed to improve the living standards of the people.
Reaffirming his administration’s resolve, the governor stressed that transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery would remain central to governance in Kano State.
He urged council members to redouble their efforts and sustain support for the government’s development agenda to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach all parts of the state.
