The Independent Hajj Reporters has conferred the Best Special Hajj Service of the Year 2025 award on the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The recognition was announced during the 2025 Hajj Lecture and Awards ceremony held at the National Mosque, Abuja.
Speaking at the event, the National Coordinator of the organization, Ibrahim Muhammad, said Governor Yusuf was selected for his outstanding performance and unique arrangements that gave Kano pilgrims special consideration during the recent Hajj exercise.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, thanked the organizers for the honour and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting pilgrims in future Hajj operations.
In a related development, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board received the award for Most Disciplined State and Officials.
The Director of Hajj Operations, Muhammad Ghali Muhammad, received the award on behalf of the board and encouraged officials to sustain the record of discipline.
