Governor Yusuf Extends Christmas Greetings, Urges Mutual Respect in Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended warm Christmas greetings to the Christian community in Kano State and across Nigeria, describing the 2025 Christmas celebration as a season that embodies love, sacrifice, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

The Christmas greetings were contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Governor Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Governor Yusuf noted that Christmas presents a valuable opportunity for reflection on timeless virtues such as peace, tolerance, compassion, and selfless service to humanity, which he described as critical to harmonious living in a diverse society like Kano State.

He urged Christians in the state to use the festive season to promote peace, unity, and collective progress, while appealing to all residents, irrespective of religious or ethnic background, to continue to live together in mutual respect and understanding.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of all citizens and ensuring an environment where everyone can freely practice their faith in peace and security.

He also called on religious leaders to sustain the message of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing that unity remains the strongest foundation for sustainable development in Kano State.

Governor Yusuf wished Christians a joyous Christmas celebration and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous New Year for all residents of the state.

He further advised motorists to strictly adhere to traffic regulations during the festive period and beyond to ensure safety on the roads.
