Governor Yusuf Distributes Palliatives to Kano Emirates

In continuation of providing palliatives to various segments of the society to ameliorate the economic hardship in the country, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Wednesday distributed palliatives to five emirates in the state.

A statement by the Information Officer, Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs, Sani Sirajo Abubakar, said the five emirates council, Kano, Bichi, Rano, Gaya and Karaye where provided with 400 bags of 25kg of rice for distribution to the respective emirates staff.

The Governor who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Affairs, Mahmud Abba Sanusi, said the gesture was made to include the staff of the emirates to be part of the State government’s palliatives support.

He maintained that the state Government has provided palliatives in four batches to the people of the state and distributed to various categories of people across human endeavors in the nooks and crannies of the state.

The Governor urged the beneficiaries of the provided palliatives to make judicious used of what was provided to achieve the desired goals.

At the Kano emirate, Madakin Kano, Yusuf Labahani Cigari, who represented the Emir, described the gesture as timely in view of the economic hardship bedeviling people of the country.

Cigari extended the emirate’s appreciation to the Governor and prayed for divine guidance, peace, stability,successful, and hitches free tenure.

At the Bichi Emirate, Madakin Bichi and District Head of Bagwai, Nura Shehu Ahmed, thanked the State Government for the gesture and pledged to make a comprehensive distribution plan for the cascading of the rice provided to those intended.

He prayed for Allah’s intervention in easing difficult situation and hard life in the country.
