Governor Namadi Seeks Journalist Support to Develop Jigawa

Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi has asked journalists to support his government by abiding by the ethics of their professors in reporting government programs and policies in the state.

The Governor made the call when members of the state Correspondent Chapel paid him a courtesy visit at Dutse Government House.

Malam Namadi stated that Journalists are key stakeholders in promoting good governance, delivering effective public service, peace unity, and progress of any government and society.

“Our request to you is to always try to be objective and balanced in your reportage, to put Jigawa corporate existence peace and progress above any interest, to join your hand in our quest for building a prosperous and ” Greater Jigawa.

“Please report us accordingly, but avoid writing any unbalanced report, because if you write an unbalanced story you cannot sleep as your conscious will not allow you for doing the wrong job” Governor Namadi stated.

In his speech during the visit, the chairman of the Correspondent Chapel Comrade Muhammad Zangina said, the members of the union were at Government House to congratulate the Governor for successful his inauguration into office.

Comrade Zangina told the Governor that, the working journalist in the state would join hands with the government to promote peace unity, and progress in the state.

He however assured the Governor that, the members of the union would be more professional in their reportage and also prioritize the collective interest of the state above anything.
