The death of Hajiya Ladi Bako, the wife of the late first Military Administrator of old Kano state, Audu Bako, has been described by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as a great loss not only to the state but to the country in general.
Abba Anwar, Governor Ganduje’s spokesperson in a statement on Friday quoted him saying: “She was a role model for all First Ladies who subsequently followed. A mother to all and a quintessential woman of great substance.”
“On behalf of the government and good people of Kano State, I, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Governor of the Kano State, am extending our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of Hajiya Ladi Bako.
“While praying Almighty Allah to bless her reposed soul, we pray that may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” he desired.
