Four-Year Paul Pogba Doping Ban Shortened To Eighteen Months

Stallion Times

Following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Paul Pogba’s four-year doping term was reduced to eighteen months. The Juventus midfielder, who began serving his suspension in February, will now be eligible to resume his career in 2025.

The 31-year-old tested positive for testosterone in August of last year. Italy’s anti-doping court handed him the harshest sentence possible—a four-year suspension that might have ended his career.

In March, he also received a sizable fine.

Pogba declared that “the nightmare is finally over” and that he could now look forward to the day when he could resume pursuing his aspirations after the ban was lowered.

It has been incredibly agonizing  time in my life because everything I’ve worked so hard for has been put on hold’, the France World Cup winner added.

Pogba also thanked his fans for their support and said he was looking forward to getting back on the pitch.
