Fire Guts Lagos Blue Line Track

On Saturday afternoon, a minor fire outbreak occurred on a section of the Lagos Blue Line track near the NEPA Station, close to Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.

According to Gboyega Akosile, the spokesperson for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the fire was reported at 4:12 p.m. via his X.com handle (@gboyegakosile). Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and no trains were in service at the time of the incident.

Akosile confirmed that emergency personnel and first responders quickly arrived at the scene, successfully extinguishing the fire.

“Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control.

“Kindly await further details on the operations of the train from @Lamataonline,” the post concluded.
