FG Trains, Empowers Women On Agriculture In Nasarawa

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, through the Renew Hope Initiative (RHI), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has trained and empowered women to boost Agriculture in Nasarawa State.

The training attracted over 500 participants from 13 local government areas in Nasarawa State, equipping them with essential knowledge of dry farming techniques and enhancing their contributions to the agricultural value chain.

Performing the symbolic presentation, in Lafia, the wife of the Nasarawa State governor, Silifat Sule, charged the beneficiaries to utilise the training and the cash to enhance food security.

Silifat who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Tosin Sheila Akabe explained that Nasarawa state has been blessed with fertile land and a rich agricultural heritage, noting that women and youth were the key to unlocking the potential and ensuring a sustainable future for the state.
