The Federal Government has announced that Monday and Tuesday will be public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
This was contained in a statement on Friday by Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, announced on behalf of the Federal Government, extending congratulations to Muslims both within the country and abroad.
According to the statement, the Minister urged the Muslim community to embrace the values of peace, kindness, and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
He also encouraged them to use this time to pray for national unity, prosperity, and stability.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo reassured citizens of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s dedication to protecting lives and property across Nigeria.
He wished the Muslim community a joyous Eid-ul-Adha and called on all Nigerians to contribute to building a prosperous future for the next generation.
