Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofarmata, has called on the Muslim faithful to foster unity to promote peace and progress in the state.

In a statement made available to newsmen by Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, the Commissioner noted that “The Sallah festival, which marks the end of the month-long Ramadan fast, is the right time for the Muslims to cultivate the spirit of peace and unity.

“As we, the Muslim faithful across the globe celebrate the annual occasion, we should observe it with prayers, feasting, and charitable giving,” the Commissioner pointed out.

Dr. Kofarmata then felicitated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the national leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Sen. (Dr.) Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the Muslims in general for the observance of Eid-el-Fitr Sallah.
