As a die-hard sports enthusiast, I developed a habit of acknowledging and applauding excellence whenever I witness it and it’s an instinct for me to praise and recognize good input or initiative. I believe in giving credit where credit is due.

The recent overhauling of the Kano Pillars FC media department and the upliftment of the department to a directorate is a welcome development, ushering in an instant commitment to modernization and adopting innovative content.

In today’s digital age football club media is an important component for the success of the team it is an avenue for exploiting profitable marketing opportunities, and it is a means of showcasing the club.

Therefore, I am thrilled to see the significant media improvements that have resulted from the appointment of Abubakar Isah Ɗandago Yamalash and Isma’eel Abba Tangalash to head the Kano Pillars FC media directorate. It is a perfect example of putting the right people in the right roles and the impact was instant.

For the first time within a week of their appointment into the role, we now have Kano Pillars FC TV, Kano Pillars FC Tick-Tock handle, Kano Pillars FC Instagram account, and online presence on all the social media platforms from X to Facebook. Wow!

And again for the first time, we witness the world-class unveiling of the team’s technical adviser. I won’t lie, I am impressed with the qualitative pictures I saw everywhere on social media and without any criticism.

In fact, I even went ahead to share some of the pictures on my Facebook page. But to be frank, before their appointment is something we only see in our distant neighbors due to the lack of technical expertise and effective online engagement of the previous image handlers of the club. which the club fans and non-fans alike frown at and has become a source of embarrassment to people like us whenever we are amid our Southern brothers.

But with the recent appointment of visionary media handlers Abubakar Isah Yamalash and Isma’eel Abba Tangalash to head the media directorate of the club a new era of digital excellence has begun.

The duo posed to transform the club media outlook and enhance the fans’ experience, boosting the fans’ engagement and showcasing the team brand more compellingly and professionally.

Abubakar Isah Ɗandago Yamalash a renowned sports commentator, formerly of Radio France, with experience of over two decades in sports broadcasting, is a man with a creative mindset.

He is currently with Hikima Radio and TV serving as a general manager.

On the other hand, the assistant media director Isma’eel Abba Tangalash was a versatile sports journalist.

A content creator, a commentator with Supersport and he is a Multi-award winning sports presenter. Tangasports currently was the head of the sports section of Hikima Radio and TV, Kano.

One fascinating coincidence is that Yamalash and Tangalash are the pioneering Hausa commentators to present commentary on the Supersport channel during the 2022 Qatar World Cup, making history as the first-ever Hausa-speaking duo to do so.

In essence, with the swift innovations we started to witness and what I already know about their capabilities, I do not doubt that they will excel in their new roles and elevate the Kano Pillars FC brand to new heights.

We will be observing from afar, offering praise where deserved and constructive feedback where necessary. May Allah guide them.
