David Moyes Returns To Everton

News Desk

David Moyes has returned to Everton as manager after the club parted ways with Sean Dyche.

The Premier League club confirmed the appointment on Saturday, with Moyes set to lead the team through a crucial period, including their final season at Goodison Park and the transition to their new stadium.

Moyes, who managed Everton from 2002 to 2013, bringing the club success during his 11-year tenure, expressed his excitement about rejoining the club.

“It’s great to be back! I enjoyed 11 wonderful and successful years at Everton and didn’t hesitate when I was offered the opportunity to rejoin this great club,” Moyes said in a statement.

The decision to bring Moyes back comes after Dyche’s dismissal, following a difficult run of results, including a defeat to Bournemouth on January 4.

Everton’s new owners, the Friedkin Group, moved quickly to secure Moyes’ services, reportedly offering him a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Moyes, 61, has been without a managerial role since leaving West Ham United at the end of last season.

His first challenge will be to steer Everton away from relegation, with the club currently just one point above the drop zone.

Moyes remains a fan favorite for his achievements at Everton, which included a fourth-place finish in 2005 and an FA Cup final appearance in 2009.

His second stint begins on Wednesday when he faces Aston Villa in the Premier League.
