Dala Inland Dry Port Set for Commissioning

The Dala Inland Dry Port (DID) in Zawachiki Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State is set to be commissioned.  

This was made known during a press briefing by the Managing Director of the Dry Port, Hon. Ahmed Rabiu.

He said the dry port will is one of the 6 projects to be commissioned by President Muhammad Buhari on Monday.

Rabiu added that the Dry Port is an international and customs port for the importation and exportation of goods and services.

“The Port will receive imported cargo from anywhere in the world, it also creates an easy means to export products without the owner escorting the cargo.

“Customs will confirm their cargo duty and we will make sure it meets the standard needs.

“The Dry Port will not be congested, as everything will be done online, and also customers will receive their package at their doorsteps without hardship.”

Hon. Rabiu revealed that the intervention of the port will bring ease for transport exportation and also generate high internal revenue for the state.

He commended the effort of the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his maximum support towards the development of the Dala Inland Dry Port.

On his part, Abubakar Sahabo Bawuro, Chairman of the Port said this is meant to improve logistics in the transport chain and also improve businesses in the State.
