Court Orders VeryDarkMan to Take Down Social Media Posts About Falz, Falana

News Desk

The Lagos State High Court, on Tuesday, ordered controversial social media activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to take down what it called defamatory comments and videos on social media about renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) and his son, Folarin Falana, popularly called Falz.

Justice M. O. Dawodu, who delivered the ruling in suit no: ID/8584/GCM/2024, ruled that VeryDarkMan’s videos on his social media accounts posted on September 24 linking a crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky, to Falz and his father were defamatory and injurious to their public image.

“According to the applicants (Falz and Falana), the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knew these statements (Bobrisky’s claims) were false and untrue but proceeded to publish them to injure their reputation.

“Furthermore, the defamatory statements are still trending on the defendant (VeryDarkMan)’s several online platforms and the injury to their reputation continues as long as the publication remains online,” Justice Dawodu ruled.
