CITAD Donates Books Worth Over N100,000 to Kano Varsity

The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD), has intensified its quest for the development of academic excellence by donating books worth over 100 thousand Naira to Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kano.

While presenting the books to the university representatives on Thursday at the organization’s newly built office, the Centre’s Senior Programme Officer, Isa Garba noted that the organization has been reputed for the long-held tradition of partnering with the academic environment, especially tertiary institutions, for the quest of championing academic growth and excellence in the country.

He said that the books donated to the institution were aimed at giving back to the academic environment, adding that academia is usually the embodiment of most the CITAD’s research.

He also averred that CITAD has a predilection to promoting the habit of reading culture among students.

The CITAD’s car further revealed, that the Centre also partners with tertiary institutions in terms of capacity building as well as Knowledge Production.

“Recently, we trained over 100 academic staff of Bayero University, Kano on Data Analysis. 90% of the staff are into research and the skill will simplify their research in the academic environment” he said.

Receiving the books on behalf of the Varsity, the Secretary to the University Librarian, Mua’az Abubakar Adam extended his profound gratitude to CITAD for the donations, while also assuring him of the established mutual partnership has been existing between the Institution and the Centre for subsequent engagements.
