Burna Boy Gives Falz His African Giant Title In Response To “End Bad Governance” Protest

In response to the ongoing “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” protest, Nigerian music icon Burna Boy declared fellow singer Falz the new African giant.

Because of his sudden rise to fame in the music industry and widespread acceptance, Burna Boy has always referred to himself as the African giant.

Burna Boy’s music is comparable to that of Fela, the pioneer of Afrobeat, in that most of his songs encourage listeners to stand up for themselves and against oppressors.

Conversely, it is not often known that the multiple Grammy Award winner is particularly involved in Nigerian politics.

Therefore, when he responded to the current national protest on his X page, he wrote, The fight in me died on this day. Ogun go doggy, anybody will call my name this time e around. Some of his followers went back and forth with him on the platform.

In response, an X user said, “Oga, shut up. You don’t have to give up just because they wronged you.

“In your songs, you taught us to never give up, but here, you’re just talking silly.”

“I taught you to keep fighting your oppressors, but you chose to fight me,” the “Monster You Made” crooner retorted.

The following comment was made by another X user: “Because you wan ghost and you de call yourself African giant.”

At this point, Burna Boy commented, stating that Falz is the new African giant, perhaps pleased by the rapper’s activity in Nigeria. “I don’t give myself to Falz bros,” the legendary musician wrote.

Take note that there have been casualties from the nationwide “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” demonstration, which is currently going on.
