The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has granted approval for the deduction of 3% Basic Salaries of Civil Servants of Kebbi State to fund the Kebbi State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (KECHEMA).

This was contained in a statement signed by the Kebbi State Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

The approval granted by the Governor was a sequel to the request made by the organized labor for the deduction of 3% Basic Salaries of all Civil Servants in the State to be remitted to the Kebbi State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (KECHEMA).

According to the statement, the enrolment of civil servants in the scheme as a formal sector would enable the Agency to provide easy access to health care for civil servants at an affordable rate.

Furthermore, the deduction shall be with effect from November 2022 to KECHEMA to enable the Agency to commence its services to civil servants in the State.
