Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has performed the groundbreaking of a 40-kilometre Mararaban Dandaudu–Gwada–Kuta–Rafinkuka–Zumba single carriageway.
The ceremony, held on Tuesday at Mararaban Dandaudu in Munya Local Government Area, marked the commencement of a project spanning both Munya and Shiroro Local Government Areas.
Governor Bago, who expressed delight at the development, said the road would ease movement, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities for residents of the two council areas.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to rapid infrastructural growth under the New Niger Agenda.
The governor disclosed that the project will be handled by the same contractor that executed the 5km township road in Munya.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, the Emir of Minna, Umaru Faruk Bahago, and other top government officials.
