Army Hands Over Renovated Schools, Leaning Materials to Jigawa Community

The Nigeria Armed Forces have renovated 24 classrooms, furnished students’s seats, and also provided a set of school uniforms to over 1,000 pupils in Limawa Primary School, Dutse, Jigawa state.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff (CoS), LT General Lagbaja, said the projects executed were part of the military policy for kinetic support in national peace and development.

The CoS who was represented by the Chief of Civil Military Affairs, Major General NC Ogbor said, that the community Special Intervention Project gives given opportunity to senior military officers to reciprocate back to their immediate community with such a project for promoting better relationships between the military and the public.

He assured the Jigawa state government and the people of the state that, the Nigerian Army will continue to work hand in hand with sister security agencies and the general public in protecting the territorial integrity of the country, peace, and stability.

In his speech, the Chief Executor of the Project, Major General Abdulkadir Muhammad Sa’id, the project comprised the renovation of 11 blocks of 24, classrooms, 10 toilet units, Water facilities, and staff offices.

“Under the chief of army staff community intervention, all the students of the school will be given one set of school”s uniforms and a set of exercise books.”

In his speech, Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, commended the Chief of Army Staff for such intervention that will complement the effort of the state government in providing an enabling environment for teaching and learning in the state.

Namadi also commended the executor of the project LMajor General Abdulkadir Muhammad for executing the project and described him as a proud son, who has concerns for the future of the young generation.

The Governor then assured the chief of army staff, and the executor of the project that, the government in collaboration with the community would utilize and protect the project to achieve the desired goals of providing access to quality education to our children.

In his remarks, the Emir of Dutse His Highness Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sanusi extended the appreciation of the Limawa community and Dutse Emirate to the CoS.

He also promised to promote friendship operations with the military and other security agencies to maintain peace and stability in the state and Nigeria.
