Nigeria star athlete Tobi Amusan has qualified for the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships.
In Monday’s semi-finals Amusan placed first in her own race with a time of 12.36s (-0.2).
She beat Nadine Visser of the Netherlands who was second in 12.45s, while Pia Skrzyszowska from Poland finished third in 12.51s.
Also on Monday, Nigeria’s Ezekiel Nathaniel won the final heat of the men’s 400m hurdles at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships, clocking 48.37s to advance to the semifinals.
Nathaniel beat Caleb Dean of the United States who posted 48.67s, while Brazil’s Francisco Dos Reis Viana placed third with a personal best of 48.69s.
