The Chairman of the AMG Foundation, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, on Friday, flagged off the distribution of food items to 100 vulnerable families at the premises of the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
According to Jalo Sulaiman, the Director of Operations at AMG Foundation, speaking during the exercise, Dr. Magashi said the intervention, which includes rice, sugar, and Lipton tea, is part of the foundation’s commitment to supporting the less privileged, particularly as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
Dr. Magashi also disclosed that the gesture would be extended to 13 vulnerable and rehabilitation centres managed by the Kano State Emergency Management Agency before the end of Ramadan.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Amina Yusuf ‘Yar Gaya, alongside the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Isyaku Kubarachi, commended the Foundation for its continued support of vulnerable members of society. They described the initiative as timely and impactful.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed joy over the assistance and offered prayers, asking Allah (SWT) to reward the foundation’s founder abundantly for the humanitarian gesture.
