The Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone One Headquarters, Kano, AIG Ahmed Garba, on Tuesday convened a high-level security meeting with tactical and intelligence commanders from both Kano and Jigawa states.

According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Bashir Muhammed, the meeting was prompted by a recent spike in banditry attacks in parts of Kano State, raising concerns among residents and security agencies.

During the session, the AIG and field commanders deliberated on strategic measures aimed at curbing the growing insecurity.
