Senegal are through to the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following a 1-0 win over 10-man Mali at the Grand Stade de Tanger.

Iliman Ndiaye scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute capitalising on Djigui Diarra’s error to slot the ball into the net.

Mali were reduced to 10-men late in the first half after captain Yves Bissouma was sent off for a rash challenge on Idrissa Gueye.

The Eagles pushed hard to get back into the game immediately after the break but failed to find a way past Edouard Mendy.

Senegal also had chances to score on the counter a couple of times but were thwarted by Diarra.

The Terangha Lions will face the winner of the quarter-final clash between Egypt and Ivory Coast in the last four.

The semi-final tie will hold in Tanger next week Wednesday.
