Morocco have booked a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after overcoming Cameroon 2-0 in the quarter-finals on Friday night.
The first goal came in the 26th minute of the first half, when Brahim Diaz deflected the ball following a header from El Kaabi to give his team the lead.
Cameroon failed to create almost any truly dangerous situations for their opponent, who took advantage in the second half to extend the lead.
Following a corner kick in the 73rd minute, Ismael Saibari was left unmarked and sealed the match for Morocco with a powerful shot.
Cameroon attempted to respond late on, but struggled to carve out an opening to seriously test Yassine Bounou.
The host nation will now face either Nigeria or Algeria on January 14, where they will seek a spot in the grand final.
